I know there has always been controversy over this issue, and I wish Barbie manufacturers would take that complaint seriously.

It still wasn't as good as Princess and the Pauper, which will probably forever be the best Barbie movie, but it wasn't bad.
Barbie keeps getting into sticky situations, like having to quest for a jewel, getting stuck in a giant's stew, and escaping from a collapsing dungeon.
She uses her intellect and wit to escape from these situations, but even though it sounds like the storyline would be very choppy because of this, it actually seemed surprising fluid.
That's because she goes on these quests to collect the pieces of one wand that she needs to save her family. I actually could have done without the Pegasus aspect of the movie since it didn't make much sense that her sister was turned into a Pegasus as a teenager before Barbie's character was born, because then her sister would have to be in her 30s now, but I guess most people wouldn't think about that.
The graphics were pretty well-done, and I would look forward to seeing this movie in 3D because I noticed several scenes would look nice in 3D.
Overall, it's a lovely movie with a very strong yet very feminine heroine similar to the other Barbie movies , but I thought that some of the dialogue was very cheesy, and there were a few plotholes.

They dress themselves up in any variety of dresses, jewelry, etc. Many times when I pick them up from preschool I am asked to pretend I'm Wenlock and put an [invisible] gag on them while they're imprisoned in their carseats every mother's dream!
They squirm and struggle in their carseats until they magically "rip off" the gag and take their revenge on Wenlock.

Didn't receive 3D glasses so tried to watch as normal but won't play. Keeps going back to the main menu. Tried to see if it would do the same with the 3D version but it doesn't, the 3D version plays absolutely fine.
Not happy about this at all. Kids loved it. One person found this helpful. We had an old version of this that stopped working so I brought this one, my daughter loves it and likes the pink case matches her other barbie dvds.
