A single deleted scene details the fate of the Russian cosmonaut. He is killed when the spider like creature breaks his visor and he dies of oxygen loss.

Other deleted scenes show two alternate versions of the dead cosmonaut. Version 1: Nate and Anderson find the cosmonaut's helmet but no Soviet ship.

They then find the cosmonaut's body dragged many meters away. Version 2: The same as the first but the cosmonaut is partially buried.
